  1. Can you sign up for just one month and see if it something you like? I want to sign up my niece and pay for a month as a gift but I’m not sure if she will be able/want to do the entire semester.

    • Hi Keri. Students should intend to complete the course; since enrollment is limited it would be unfair to others reserve a slot if they can not complete the term. Thank you for your interest, let me know if you have any other questions. -Susie

  2. Hi, I am wondering if this class is actually something that would benefit me. I have experience sewing (last project I made was a Robe a la Francaise) and was taught a lot of the basics by my mother and other friends, but somewhere along the line I missed certain things like, “What do I use all the other stitches on my sewing machine that aren’t straight or zigzag for?”, “How do I use all the other feet other than the all-purpose one?”, and “How do I do a button hole on the sewing machine?” Would this class teach me some of these things?

    • Hi Kelly! I think your skills would be better matched to an intermediate class, you appear to have most of the skills we will cover in the beginner class. I am planning to offer an intermediate course early next year, though, so please check back. Thanks for your interest! -Susie

  3. Hello! I have a 7 year old daughter who has been taking a beginner sewing class for about a year in Austin, TX. She is not home schooled but we are interested in joining a class. You need 8 participants to start a class correct. Also she does not have a machine of her own (she used the one at the studio) which one would you recommend us purchasing for her?
